I have a friend staying with me, and I am helping her after she had shoulder surgery. On a particular day in her healing, she expressed to me that she was upset about a specific memory. I told her that we can’t do anything about what people say, but if we turn it over to Heavenly Father, He can help us find peace with the other person and ourselves.

Just as I shared with my friend how Heavenly Father can heal our minds and hearts, we can share the gospel on the other side by engaging in family history work. We share the gospel by helping the people who have died and moved on to the next life when we take their names to the temple.

After they have the opportunity to accept the gospel, they are then free to move forward in their progression and teach others in the spirit world who might not have known about the gospel while they tarried on the earth.

In Matthew 11:29 it says, “Learn of Me and ye shall find rest to your souls.”

I tried to help my friend on this earth presently find rest to her soul, and those on the other side are also seeking rest to their souls. As I do my part in serving my friends and family on the earth and in the spirit world, I hope they can find rest to their souls.
