“O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it, that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him and keep his commandments which he has given them; that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this water to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.” Doctrine and Covenants 20:77, 79
We will soon have the Helena Temple in Montana, and his means an increase of people in Montana can attend the temple more often. Going to the temple is like taking the sacrament. They are both a representation of and a physical act that we do in keeping our covenants and remembering the Savior.
Participating in family history is vital in having temples. If we did not have family history research opportunities in our church, we would have no reason to go to the temple.
As we renew our covenants each week to take upon us the name of Christ, we can reach new levels in taking His name upon as we go to the temple and help others receive the opportunity to also make promises to God. They need us and we need them.
“I promise that increased time in the temple will bless your life in ways nothing else can. Our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, stand ready to help us. Increase your efforts to seek Their help. Grow closer to God and Jesus Christ every day.” President Russel M. Nelson
