Family History
I know about family history work and its importance because of the example of my mother. She planted the desire to participate in family history work deep in my heart. She has always been a faithful worker and missionary for the dead.
I am grateful for this example because it has brought me closer to my ancestors in ways I would not know them otherwise. She has taught me that we can have a relationship with them beyond the grave and promises from God will be fulfilled if we are faithful.
“Heavenly Father’s promises to us fill us with gratitude and joy. Our covenants cease to be rules we follow and become beloved principles that inspire and guide us and rivet our focus on Jesus Christ.” Elder Kim B. Clark of the Seventy
If you are being an example to your children and feel they are not paying attention, believe that they are and continue to be that example.
