Family History
When I first began my journey in family search, I realized that I needed to collect pictures and place them in an album. I wanted to preserve my family memories and knew I could do that by organizing pictures, letters, postcards, and journal entries.
I have a brother, and I remember when we were young, we had a fight. I don’t remember what it was about, but we made up quickly. My brother was like that—he didn’t stay mad long. He was kind, and throughout our lives, I remember him being sweet, funny, and sharing stories with me.
One of the stories I loved him sharing was when he would go fishing. He loved to fish and would always share his catches with me. He would also write me letters when we were not living by one another. I saved these letters and pictures so I would always remember him.
After he died, I wanted to be a forever family, so I took his name to the temple. Now I know we have the possibility of our family being bound for eternity.
