Isaac Kohler has been called to the Oakland/San Francisco Mission and will be leaving September 8, 2023.
Jesus Christ told His disciples that if they love Him, to keep His commandments. (John 14:15)
The prophet and apostles have said that every able young man should serve a mission, and any young women that feel compelled to, can also serve a mission.
“Today I reaffirm strongly that the Lord has asked every worthy, able young man to prepare for and serve a mission. For Latter-day Saint young men, missionary service is a priesthood responsibility. You young men have been reserved for this time when the promised gathering of Israel is taking place. As you serve missions, you play a pivotal role in this unprecedented event!
For young and able sisters, a mission is also a powerful, but optional, opportunity. We love sister missionaries and welcome them wholeheartedly. What you contribute to this work is magnificent! Pray to know if the Lord would have you serve a mission, and the Holy Ghost will respond to your heart and mind.
We also welcome senior couples to serve when their circumstances permit. Their efforst are simply irreplaceable.” President Russell M. Nelson, “Preaching the Gospel of Peace,” April 2022 Conference Talk.
What a great opportunity for Isaac to show how much he loves Jesus Christ by spreading the gospel as a fisher of men and by feeding the Lord’s sheep in California.
We appreciate your willingness to serve Isaac and wish you success in your preparation until September.
