In today's lesson I learned that when I recieve impressions from Heavenly Father, I should write them in a journal so I can process them, work through them, and rememeber them.

If I find ways during the day to include Jesus in my life, I will become closer to Him, because I am learning of Him. I will come to know, love, and hear Him.

We can remember Him in all kinds of ways each day if we just make the time.

Linda Lovshin

In today's lesson I learned that "With the dedication of each new temple, additional godly power comes into the world to strengthen us and counteracts the intensifying efforts of the adversary." President Nelson

I like this thought, because each conference the church is announcing new temples which will be built somewhere in the world. Currently, we have one temple in Montana--The Billings Temple. This year, the Helena Temple will be finished and soon a Missoula Temple will be under construction. What a blessing this is for Montana.

I am so thankful we will have three temples in our state. These temples will lessen the influence of the adversary in our State and what a blessing that is for us Montanans.

Charity Lovshin

Today, I have learned God uses temples to teach us how to have peace in this chaotic world.

When we came to earth, we were told that there would be opposition which would bring challenges. When we get the challenge, we should not ask, "Why Me?"

We should ask God, "What can I learn from this to help me grow and progress to the child of God that I must be which will prepare me for the next life?"

Our goal is to live with God again. This life and its challenges and its oppositions teach us how to get there.

Trust God.

Trust His timing.

Rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Linda Lovshin

Danella Stapley taught me that I have a purpose.

We are all in this journey of life together with Christ, who is at the center, as we attempt to navigate through life and opposition that will likely bring challenges that seem unconquerable.

Our success in conquering the unconquerable is turning to Christ and His Atonement. We can gain strength to go forward as we learn from our own history of overcoming challenges and the history of others that have overcame them successfully.

What am I willing to give up to follow the Lord and His will, which He knows is also my will?

Looking at life in an eternal perspective helps me understand the scope of eternity and my role in it.

Charity Lovshin

I learned why we are on the earthly journey and what do expect while we are here. I learned how to obtain immortality and eternal life successfully. I learned about the importance of keeping covenants. I learned to be wholehearted and joyful through opposition and challenges. I learned what my attitude has to do with my purpose. I learned to act in faith.

Sister Danella Stapley gave a wonderful lesson in Relief Society today on the conference talk "Wholehearted" by Michelle Craig.

Danella talked about how we have opposition in our lives for a reason. Opposition can also be called--challenges. As we confront challenges in our lives, and we work through them, they make us stronger and strengthen our testimonies.

She talked about her children and how they like video games, and they have challenges in those video games and when they reach those challenges, they level up in their game.  Just like the game of life, as we meet our challenges and learn from them, we level up, and we have a deeper understanding.

She also talked about people in the scriptures that have gone through much opposition or challenges. What was their attitude concerning the challenge.

Adam and Eve had challenges and when Adam was asked why he offered sacrifices, he said, "I know not, save the Lord commanded me." (Moses 5:6).

Mary, the mother of Jesus, had many challenges and when confronted with her challenges, she said, "Behold the hand maid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word".  (Luke 1:38).

We all know Jesus, the Savior, had many challenges and when confronted, He said: "Father remove this cup from me, nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

(Luke 22:42).

Nephi had challenges, and he said: "I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way". (1 Nephi 3-7).

We have challenges in our lives too. Sister Craig gave three things to do to help us with those challenges:

  Keep our Covenants

Act in Faith

Be Wholehearted and Joyful

As we confront our own opposition and challenges in this life, I challenge you to Trust God and know you are His.

Press Forward in Christ.

Always, remember Him.

Strive to have a good attitude as those examples in the scriptures above.

I know God loves us and He knows these challenges in our lives, little by little help us know Him more. They Strengthen us and gives us more understanding of how to return to Him.
